People often arrive at therapy with a clear understanding of what they struggle with — and sometimes even why — but still feel unsure how to move forward.
My way of working is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through collaboration, not instruction. I don’t see therapy as something done to you, but as something we think through together.
Clients often describe our work as:
I’m comfortable adapting how we work as the therapy unfolds, responding to what emerges rather than applying a fixed approach. That flexibility is always held within clear ethical boundaries and a shared sense of purpose.
I draw on a range of therapeutic traditions, including psychotherapy, counselling, and hypnotherapy. These inform the work, but they don’t dictate it.
Rather than deciding in advance how we should work, I’m interested in:
Sometimes our work will be conversational and reflective. At other times, we may slow things down, notice what’s happening in the here-and-now, or explore things through imagery or metaphor if that feels helpful.
The emphasis is always on fit, safety, and collaboration.
I am a qualified and accredited practitioner, registered with relevant professional bodies, and committed to ongoing training and supervision.
I am registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) as a Psychologist; with the Complimentary Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) as a Hypnotherapist; and with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as both a Hypno-psychotherapist and Psychotherapist in training.
